Preswylfa House

Today I cooked Singing Hinnies. They are called Singing Hinnies because they sizzle and hum when put on the griddle and Hinny is a northern name for honey. They are very  similar to Welsh cakes but without added sugar! (recipe http://www.britishfood.about.com)

The cakes were cooked on the griddle spread thinly with butter and honey and eaten by candlelight – fantastic!

We have added  some lovely antique copper pans to the old kitchen range in Ty Canol. In the bathroom there are 2 colourful wall tiles.

In Preswylfa Cottage you will find a brand new up to date washing machine and Granston benefits from a new tumble drier.

The tree blown down in the high winds just before Christmas is now logged and stacked. This will help to keep the houses warm in eighteen months time. Well done Alistair and thank you for your help Malcolm and Glenn.
